# Data Engineer: Who is it, and why should you hire one to improve your data

Do you really need an engineer for your data?

It is now widely recognized that working with data is crucial for managing and operating a business. Faster and more accurate decision-making, market monitoring, and innovation are all activities that rely entirely on data.

However, setting up such a process requires a system that facilitates data collection and supports even the most complex data flows. But how can a company achieve this?

This is where the role of the Data Engineer comes into play—a specialist capable of designing the infrastructure needed to collect, store, and analyze data. We explore this further in the whitepaper *"The Data Engineer in Your Company."*
